Hero Creed

I believe in God the Father almighty,
Who formed me in His own image,
fearfully and wonderfully made;
Who created me to live in His Kingdom now and forever,
helping others do the same.

I believe in Jesus Christ,
God's only Son our Lord,
the greatest Hero of all time.
He calls me both
sheep and shepherd, to follow Him,
the Great Shepherd of the sheep,
and lead those entrusted to my care.

Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice,
dying on the cross to overcome sin,
rescue me, and save the world.
He rose triumphantly from the dead
to claim victory over the evil one
and set me free from death itself.
Jesus is my Hero!

I believe in God the Holy Spirit,
Who unites me to my brothers and sisters, has equipped me with special gifts, calls me to a unique role in the Body of Christ, and empowers me
to lead others into His Kingdom.

By God's grace and for His glory,
I pledge myself to this
League of Ordinary Heroes.
I yield myself to the Holy Spirit,
asking Him to fill me and use me,
to make me more like my hero Jesus,
and help me become
a hero to others. Amen.
